Halloween Monsters

Danielle and I love Halloween.  Monsters? Costumes? Parties? Can't have enough of them!!  We've decorated our apartment with these lovely monster silhouettes. More cute then scary -- I think they're perfect.  They look amazing from the street at night!!  And you can make your very own! We've created a printable template for each creature.

Monster templates: 1a/b; 2 a/b; 3 a/b; 4 a/b; 5 a/b

Things you'll need:

  • 10 sheets of paper (we used cardstock)
  • Tape
  • Colourful tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Craft knife
  • Glue

Step1: Print the templates. Each monster requires two sheets of paper, which will need to be taped together. You could also free-hand your own monsters!

Step two: Cut out your monsters (cut on all the solid lines). Tape the two halves of your monster together.  We used scissors to cut out the outlines and a craft knife on the eyes and mouths.

Step three: Line the mouthes & eyes with colourful tissue paper, using tape to hold it in place.  Do this neatly, because you will see the back of the monsters when inside the house.  Glue the pupils onto the tissue paper.

Step four: Tape your monsters to the window for the world to see! Boo!

Step five: Enjoy your monsters from both inside and outside of the house.

If you make you own monster silhouettes, take a picture and send it to us at inpaperdreams.art@gmail.com -- we'd love to see what you come up with!
